Put On Your ArmorSM Assembly/Show

Armoring children with love against drugs, crime violence!
Put On Your ArmorSM, a non-profit (501-C-3) Community Outreach program, presents school assemblies and programs of excellence dedicated to “armoring” children with love. Put On Your ArmorSM works in partnership with schools, local governments, civic organizations, media, corporations, churches, and individuals.
Put On Your ArmorPut On Your ArmorSM was founded in 1989 by “Armadillo Jim” Schmidt. “Armadillo Jim” and his mascot, Arnie Armadillo®, have been traveling to schools, fairs, and special events since 1980. For twenty-seven years “Armadillo Jim” and his Armadillo Rangersâ„¢ have traveled internationally to audiences totaling over several million including:

  • Master of Ceremonies for The Presidential Inaugural Celebration of President George H.   Bush and the Gubernatorial Inaugural Celebration of President George W. Bush
  • 1000 schools in 30 states and Canada
  • Over 300 television shows such as Nashville Now, Regis & Kathie Lee, Crook & Chase,   Maury Povich, and The Nickelodeon Network
  • More than 700 conventions
  • North America’s most prestigious fairs, festivals and special celebrations

Jim and his crew present assemblies and programs of excellence dedicated to helping children who are grieving. I Cried Tooâ„¢ is a product sponsored by the Put On Your Armor (SM) Foundation working in partnership with schools, local governments, civic organizations, media, corporations, churches, and individuals.

I Cried Too project

I Cried Tooâ„¢ was created in April of 2000 as a grief recovery project for children featuring a children’s book, CD, and companion plush bunny rabbit, named Abundanceâ„¢. It was chosen by the Pentagon as their official bereavement gift for the children who lost a mom or dad on 9-11 & now the War In Iraq.
The I Cried Tooâ„¢ project received a special proclamation from New York City and appreciation letter from First Lady Laura Bush. I Cried Tooâ„¢ brings hope & healing to anyone who has experienced a tragedy. The Schmidt’s, Jim and Sheila with their teenage children, Blake and Fiona co created the project and are recognized for their testimony, media, I Cried Tooâ„¢ story, and songs. The program offers an array of talent with a message of hope to those who are hurting.
